We are looking for a highly enthusiastic Child Care Teacher that could join our team as a substitute teacher in our Licensed Child Care Center. This candidate would assist with shift coverage throughout the month as needed. Hours may vary.


Position Summary:

We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and dynamic environment for young learners. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of children and fostering their growth. Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children

- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment

- Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety

- Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress

- Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents

- Maintain program site and equipment

- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, and staff meetings

- Adhere to state guidelines and childcare regulations

- Pick up shifts for employees who have requested time off

Provides direction for the children in the classroom, and implements program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.


Responsibilities:

- Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.

- Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.

- Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all procedures and standards.

-Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.

- Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents.

- Maintain program site and equipment.

- Maintains required program records.

- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, and staff meetings

- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Knows and follows all state guidelines and Paths to Quality.

- Provides close care of youth in program and releasing to authorized adults only

- Expresses concerns and on goings to the Childcare Leadership Team

-Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information

- Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents.

- Facilitates communication and positive relationships between YMCA families and YMCA staff

- Maintains classroom, equipment, and cleaning supplies

- Performs other duties as assigned.
